THE STORY
Multi-venue design festivals often offer a wide range of events across different locations, but this can also create fragmentation. Visitors are left to navigate complex schedules and dense information, which can lead to confusion and decision fatigue.
OFFSET responds by reframing the programme as a connected structure rather than isolated events, introducing a framework of three overlapping routes that organise events by type and intent. This creates a clearer way to interpret the programme and move through the festival more intuitively.

DESIGN DIRECTION
OFFSET is structured around three overlapping routes that organise the festival programme across all venues. Each event is assigned a route, allowing different types of programming to exist across the same network of venues. This creates multiple ways to engage with the festival, depending on one's interests and intent.
The three symbols act as the core identity system. They are applied consistently across posters, maps, brochures, and signage to classify and differentiate events, making them easier to read, navigate, and understand across all touchpoints.

The system extends into a mobile app that supports navigation across the festival in real time. The app is built around a map-based interface, showing all venues and marking each event with its corresponding route symbol.
Users can focus on a specific route or move between them, depending on how they want to experience the festival, while a guided exploration feature suggests nearby events and helps them decide where to go next.
