A Line Which Forms a Volume is an annual critical publication produced by MA Graphic Media Design at London College of Communication. It brings together writing, research, and experimental publishing developed by students, graduates, and invited advisors. Working as an editor on the 9th edition, I contributed to this collective process, which explores time as layered and non-linear, and how it unfolds through writing, design, and experimental publishing practices.

A Line Which Forms a Volume is a collaborative publication that brings together writing, research, and experimental publishing developed by students, graduates, and invited advisors. Each edition is produced through a shared editorial and design process, with multiple teams working together to develop and publish a printed volume alongside associated events.

The 9th edition examines time as something fragmented and multi-layered, expressed through contributions that explore how time shapes spaces, memories, and relations.  I worked as an editor, shaping how content was structured, sequenced, and experienced within the publication. This involved refining texts, aligning different voices, and organising material to support clarity across contributors, while also informing how content translated into the final layout and format. I conducted interviews with external contributors for selected pieces and contributed my own published work, Watch Me Cry.

The publication was accompanied by a symposium and book launch, bringing contributors together to present and discuss their work in a live setting. These events extended the project beyond print, creating space for dialogue and allowing the ideas explored in the publication to be shared and experienced collectively.
